The White Land

On the morning of December 11, in South Louisiana, a portion of the population witnessed one of the rarest things in the history of the world. The beautiful green landscape of a small portion of the great (ish) state of Louisiana turned white. Reporters, Adventure Chasers, and Kids with Camera Phones began taking photos of the truly amazing phenomenon immediately.

Front Yard Snow

While the legend claims that similar white events have happened in other places such as Siberia, Antarctica, and Chicago, no one has undeniable evidence of those occurrences. Sure CNN says it happened, but they know how to use Photoshop. And they said Al Gore won, so who really trusts them anyway?

Back Yard Snow

Being identified as Cajun Sneaux, this remarkable event has spawned blog posts, iReports, and a few really ugly snow angels. If you are one of the lucky few who were fortunate enough to witness the amazing happenings of 12/11/08, be sure you tell your children and grandchildren so the truth will never die. After all, this particular event has happened in South Louisiana approximately the same amount of times as Y2K.

I guess now I should really rethink the whole "astronauts on the moon" thing. Truth holds such a new meaning now...
