As an early player in the online video streaming world, Joost was set to takeover our lives. However, with underperforming services and stiff competition (Hulu), it was placed on the back burner… until now! Joost has just release a potential market-changer with their new iPhone app.
You can watch streaming full-length movies, tv shows, music videos, and random video clips. The one negative is its only accessible via WiFi, but when you see the video quality, you’ll understand why. Perhaps in the future, they’ll offer a low-quality version for 3G/Edge, but for now this will have to do.
As Harrison Hoffman points out, it’s an app with room for improvement, but it’s great for a first release. Since it’s absolutely free, there’s no reason that you shouldn’t download it! Now, let’s just hope that Hulu follows suit and releases a comparable iPhone/iPod Touch player soon.
