I’ve officially finished my first day of flight school at ATP! I toured the facilities, got in a couple of planes (no flying), and learned about lift/drag/weight/thrust, yaw/pitch/roll, ground effect, pitot/static, and bunch of other stuff that I’m too tired to recall.
My instructor this week is not the same guy I’ll have for the next 7 weeks (due to scheduling conflicts), but I should be alright anyway. Plans are for me to go up in a plane at some point this week, but the weather may not allow that.
I also met a few other students in various other points in the program, all of whom seem to really enjoy their time here. It’s a small group of guys (and 1 girl), but everyone is laid back and willing to help.
I have no picture or videos today, so you’ll have to be content with my beautiful words! I’ll post another update again soon (hopefully after I go up). If you have any questions/comments then please leave them in the comments section of this post. Thanks to the 35-40 or so of you from the Lafayette area who are reading! Now just comment!
